Market Goodies & 250th Stitching

I've been busy with finishing and other stitchy things but I did manage a wee patriotic finish. Isn't this a pretty little design? It's called Stitching Freedom by The Snowflower Diaries. I used all my favorites on this one: favorite fabric, favorite red, favorite blue, favorite green. I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Stitched on 28 ct. Natural Brown Undyed linen (Wichelt) using GAST Buckeye Scarlet, CC Cauldron, GAST Bayberry, and DMC Blanc.

Market goodies arrived! I usually don't purchase much at Market but I did find several designs this year and of course I always get the cookbook.

Quaker Snippets No. 3, With Thy Needle & Thread
Freedom Flock, Plum Street Samplers
Toile Flag, Quaint Rose Needlearts

Off to check my thread inventory for my new charts. I hope my favorite shops stocked up on reds and blues because *everybody* is going to be buying the same colors!

Happy Stitching!

    2. To think I substituted that red for a red that was less bright but seeing it here, it's got that dark variegation too. A good patriotic red ♥️

    3. I'm usually not a fan of bright colors but this red is more rich than bright, if that makes sense. However, it does *glow* on the right fabric and when used with muted colors.😆

  4. I love your Stars & Stripes finish, Honeybee. I love your chosen colors. Have you tried Cosmo white floss? What beautiful market choices! I picked up the cookbook as well. I will be picking up one of my market orders tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. I think I have some in my little Cosmo collection. I wish there was a shop around here where I could get it. I had a quilt shop that carried it at our last duty station.

  5. Your color choices are perfect. They seem to jump off the fabric with your vibrance. I caved on Quaker Snippet 3 from Market as well. R
