Yep, I'm back to working on my long-term projects. I did a little work on Woodland Sampler yesterday and hope to get another block done this weekend. I also charted out our names for Snowfire Christmas (wedding sampler conversion). Boy, was that tedious! I'm using a beautiful alphabet, but it's large so I'll be stitching it over one. I still have to chart out our wedding date, but the names were enough for one session! I realized after getting our names charted that stitching those two bands over one (names and date) is going to take me forever, so it's not likely I'll be finished with this sampler by the end of the summer as I'd hoped. Oh well.
Here's my last "fling" project: a couple of little stitching mermaids. These are from Autumn Stitches by Sue Hillis.
Back to Woodland Sampler...
Cute pair of stitching mermaids! Glad you were able to get your names charted; look forward to seeing the alphabet you selected. Tiger Lily looks like she is enjoying her leisure time. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi HB! Hi Tiger Lily! Greetings from afar. Glad to see that you're doing well and keeping busy. We are here, too. Love to catch up on your beautiful stitching! You're SO talented & amazing.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

Aww, Tiger Lily is just pretty! Nothing like getting back on track, right?! I took a small detour myself. The mermaids are so cute, they look great.
ReplyDeleteThose mermaids are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAackk, I just noticed that the mermaids are stitching! How adorable!!
ReplyDeleteTiger Lily is just gorgeous! I have the same problem (blessing?) around here, as certain cats love to keep me company when I stitch...which is why I mostly stitch outside; otherwise, nothing gets done.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like the kind of cat that will make sure you get back on track! :)
She is so pretty :-) Love your finish. Have fun with your projects.
ReplyDeleteTiger Lily is gorgeous. I love the coloring on her nose. Rupert, Angus, Leo, Gordon and Sinclair say hi.
ReplyDeleteOh you must spend some time finishing Snow Fire Christmas. It is so beautiful and what a great idea to use it as a wedding sampler.
