POW/MIA Day

I took this at my Chick-fil-A earlier this week.

More about the symbolism of the table is here.

  1. I don't know if it is still set up, but they had a table like this at IHOP for most of 2016. Thank you for the links, Honeybee. I hope you have a peaceful weekend.

  2. I helped with the ceremony in my town. Our table was set for 8 - the 8 Vietnam service members still missing from Indiana. It was a great ceremony with lots of short speeches, a small band, some Rolling Thunder members and lots of veterans. Too bad there wasn't more general public.
Thanks to all your family members that have served.

  3. Loved reading about the meaning of the table setting. It is so thoughtful. My second Uncle was a POW of WW2 when he came home he said he never wanted to be hungry again.

  4. It does not surprise me that a company like Chic-fil-la would do this. I have read so many great stories about this company and what they do for their employees. More businesses should be so thoughtful of others. RJ
