She lives!
I fear I have had to reassure y'all that I'm still alive an embarrassing number of times this year. I've had harder years (2022 was a nightmare), but I've never had a year like this one. I completely lost April, May, and June to illness and injury, and it feels like I have never been able to catch up. But overall, we're okay. Thankfully. Mr. Wonderful is fine, the werewolves are thriving, and I'm okay... just bedraggled and behind.
Anyway! Hi! I have some stuff to show you!
I astonished myself by actually having a finish to share. The little row of houses is from the 2024 Just Cross Stitch Halloween special issue. I stitched it with the recommended DMC on 32 ct. Sandbar from Under the Sea Fabrics, which has become one of my favorite neutrals.
I also went on an Etsy spree and got a bunch of charts, all of which happened to be on sale! Nothing like a bit of stash to lift one's spirits.
October 2025 Kitty from Stitch with Coffee Designs. I stitched January Kitty here.
The stunning seasonal bird series is from nathnolu. I have had my eye on these for a while. The autumn bird just came out, and when I saw how gorgeous she is, I took the plunge and got all four of them.
Wrens in the Fall is from Stitchy Princess, one of my favorite Ukrainian designers. There are two other designs in this series, a winter one and one with bluebirds. They're in my stash as well. I love a good series!
I got a few other charts, but I'll be showing those later. The beads are new colors of the ones I was raving about in this post, and used to make stitching tools in this post. These new ones are a light purplish blue and a beautiful olive green.
And that's what's new around here. Hope y'all are well, and enjoying the fall weather if you're lucky enough to have it. It'll be quite a while before it feels like fall here, but we pretend anyway.
Happy Stitching!
So happy you are back, with your lovely post again.
ReplyDeleteWe all have times like this , I have been slow posting this year.
Hugs June.

Your autumn decorations are lovely. This is my favorite time of year.
Good to hear you are doing better. My husband and I had the worst colds of our lives this year lasting 6 weeks.
The werewolves are magnificent.
Happy October!
Linda from PA
Sounds like what I had back in April. An all-timer of a head cold that took a month to get over! Hope y'all are well recovered now. Happy October, my dear!
Delete(This is Rahenna, I can't seem to log in before commenting!) I hope you are feeling better and get more time to do what you love! Your kitties are so precious and I love the fall decor. I also live in a place where it never really feels like autumn, but I grew up in an area with four distinct seasons. I miss it the most at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteOh, me too! I miss fall and winter terribly!
DeleteI was so happy to see your post, and glad that you're doing ok, I know you've been having a difficult year. I love your finish of the row of houses, it will be a great addition to your other seasonal pieces. Thank you for the links to those patterns as well, such sweet bird patterns. I always enjoy your Saturday Samplers, with all the lovely photos. I know I hate having that feeling of being behind, I hope that these next weeks can be productive and calm for you. Happy October!
