Summer warmth is letting go. Today, and perhaps a couple of days early next week, will be its last gasp. Fall will arrive, in all its perfection, with days in the 50's and 60's, and nights in the 40's. I can't wait. I come alive in the fall. Thrive in winter. Tiger Lily and I spent the day getting the sewing room ready for long hours of autumn stitching.
Happy Stitching!
What a great display of Autumn treasures :-) I'm ready for the change to cooler weather and cosy nights, love Autumn and everything about this time of year.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful collection! I'm ready for Fall to arrive but unfortunately here in Florida, it won't be any time soon.

I love your collection of foxes. I have a few scattered around our house here and there too. It's our last name and people like to gift us stuff like that. All those little tiny stitches are so pretty.

Just awesome. So inspirational. Thank you for sharing! I’m going to search your blog for your tutorial on shaped flat finishes... I know I read that a while ago.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meg! Here's my template tutorial:

Sorry about that! Remove one of those "thecopperfox" bits for the correct link. I'm having to reply on my phone--not optimal!

ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful fall display. You have me hooked on the foxes. Tiger Lily is such a gorgeous kitty and I know a great companion. Can you tell me the designer of the White Pumpkins that you have stitched? I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing all of your talents and creations.
ReplyDeleteThank you! White Pumpkins is from the 2012 Just Cross Stitch Special Halloween issue. The designer is By the Bay Needlearts. I don't know if it's been published separately from the magazine.
DeleteThank you! I will look to see if I have this issue. I know I purchased the Halloween issues when they were first released, so I am hoping I have this issue.
ReplyDeleteLovely bright Autumn post , love all your stitching.
ReplyDeleteYour fall displays are so inspiring. I am hoping summer is finally releasing its hold so fall can show up and stay. Love the threads picture! Care to share their names?
ReplyDeleteI keep looking at your fall display and loving every minute of it and wishing fall would finally get here. Can you share with me where you bought your fox that is in your wreath. I want to make my mom a wreath and incorporate a fox in it. Thanks for your help.
ReplyDeleteI got the little fox last year at AC Moore, but I've seen similar ones this year at Jo-Ann's and other places. They're usually pretty easy to find. Good luck!
