A week ago I came down with some weird fever that put me in bed for several days. It wasn't a cold (no congestion at all, nary a sniffle), just a very stubborn fever and aches that persisted for three solid days. I rarely get sick, but when I do, Tiger Lily goes "on duty" and stays on duty until things return to normal. She stayed within inches of me, day and night. I thought I'd include a picture of her on nursemaid duty in an upcoming catch-all post, but then I thought, "No, she deserves her very own post."
Here she is in action, snuggled down on her blankets, keeping a paw on the situation.
Day...
...after day...
...after day. Yes, these were all taken at different times. She would only leave for a quick snack, and then come right back.
Who says kitties aren't loyal?
I hope you are on the mend to feeling better, Honeybee. What a wonderful nursemaid you had attending you! I would say she was ever so loyal and faithful. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet (and floofy).
ReplyDeleteVery floofy. ;O)
DeleteWhat a lovely cat, just having her there would make you feel better:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann!
DeleteWhat a sweetie! I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri!
DeleteMy very first cat was like that. He always stayed with me (and hogged the bed) but he also got up in the middle of the night with me. He would walk into the bathroom and seemed to know if he needed to stay or it was just a quickie and I was going right back to bed. I really miss him. The current two (cars #2 and #3) are so good about it. #2 seems to know and will come in with me but #3 hasn't a clue. Maybe it's his young age. I'm glad Tiger Lily is there for you.

They are such a comfort, aren't they?
DeleteAww, makes me get tears in my eyes and miss my Mabel. That is just the way she was. Precious. Take care.❤️
ReplyDeleteAw, Vickie... hugs!
DeleteWhat a sweetheart... she is lovely. Hope the bug has passed and that you and
ReplyDeleteyour sentinel have resumed normal routine.
Animals are amazing. They know. They just know.
ReplyDeleteThey really are, and they do.
DeleteHow sweet of Tiger Lily to keep you company when your were ill, I truly think animals pick up on our emotions and can tell when we are not ourselves, our routine is disrupted and so is theirs. Hope your much better now.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Mary. Thank you!
DeleteI love Tiger Lily and Iove my cats too. My Best Bud Boots sometimes sits on the head rest of my wheelchair and supervises whatever I do. Wish I had a pic, but I don't. He often sleeps beside me too. I believe cats are very loving and I sure do appreciate those that I have. :) Cathryn
ReplyDeleteI hope your bug us gone for good.
ReplyDeleteAnimals know when something isn't right.
Tiger Lily is not only beautiful, but so loyal also.

This post really warmed my heart, how sweet!
ReplyDeletei have a tiger lily also but her name is muffy she looks just like your tiger lily and she loves to cuddle she is a real sweetheart.
ReplyDeletei love this so much! Such a precious nursemaid.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile. I have "nursemaids" too, although I'm not entirely sure they serve in that capacity for unselfish reasons. There is nothing a cat loves more than on a cold winter's day than a warm person in bed. Especially my cats ... I affectionately call them my "heat suckers".
