Happy News!

Since November, we've had another move hanging over our heads. While it comes with the job, after three moves in five years, we needed a breather. We found out last week that we'll be here for two more years! Mr. Wonderful will be changing jobs (from the squadron to the wing), and that will keep us here for a bit. We are so relieved! Although this isn't a place we would choose to stay long term, we've become deeply attached to our church family here and we need some calmness; we've been through a lot these past few years, much of which I haven't shared. And the last four months of uncertainty have been very stressful. I feel like I can actually take a breath. So, so thankful for this blessing and wanted to share it with y'all.

  1. Happy Monday, Honeybee. It is so good to hear that you will be staying put for awhile especially since you have such a deep connection to your church. That does mean so much. I wish you a lovely day . Hugs.

  6. What awesome news to read this morning! I hope the transition from the squadron to the wing goes smoothly for Mr. Wonderful. This calls for a celebration -- extra stitching, and perhaps some fabric or accessory.

  8. Wonderful news, especially since you just finished unpacking things yesterday, it seems. BTW - the little bull that you just framed - adorable!

  9. Wonderful news! Some peace and calm are really necessary, and it's lovely to not have all that uncertainty hanging over your head so you can relax for a bit. So nice you've been able to form such deep connections in your church. I hope Mr Wonderful enjoys his new position. Happy Spring!

  10. Honeybee, I'm so pleased you have had such reassuring news. I understand about moving, probably not as many moves as you although several countries. If anyone suggested we move, for any reason, now I would be saying a definite no, as I don't believe I would handle it well.
    Hugs,
    Kay.

    1. Thank you, Kay. I don't think I'd do well with it either at the moment.

  11. Very happy for you, as an ex Royal Navy wife I had to move 6 times in 15 years, and I was truly glad when we managed to settle at last, it was good in one way - because we never had any surplus "Stuff" - but hey- I've made up for that now........I hope you all have happy stay for as long as it lasts this time. You can unpack everything now! Elaine in UK (with snugs for the girls)

  13. Moving can be so stressful, but you and Mr. Wonderful are so very supportive of each other. Our churches become so very important to us over the years. Ours has been our family home for many years. Not sure what I'll do if I have to move again. Peace and love to you. Donna in Streamwood
